Hey! I’m new here, especially the technology side, and slightly intimidated as well. I have been behind the stick (bartending) for some 50 years. After my growing up in the Minnesota area I migrated to Decatur Illinois long story. Got into the restaurant industry and I am now a lifer. Blessed with opening numerous bars, and restaurants over the years including Robbie’s opened in 1977 and still open today! In addition, club management also played an important part of my career.

I eventually started a column about food, beverage, and travel. In 2002 a move to Seattle became my next opportunity, and I landed happily at Matt’s in the Market in 2007. You can still find me there at lunch most Mondays…unless I’m traveling.
